Charitable Giving

Throughout the years, I have wanted to give back… I haven’t, and I regret that. When I started Sharkie’s in 2017 I gave what I could to the local nonprofits that asked.

Now that I am older, hopefully a bit wiser, and stable, so I think, I am ready to give more.

Individuals, and especially businesses that are profitable, should always have a giving arm of their organization to give back to their communities that support them.

Going forward, I will be selecting local nonprofit organizations in the Woodstock Area, that are established and have a history of doing good. As I identify these organizations to support, I will be creating donation opportunities for all of my customers to give as little as a $1 on every purchase they make, whether it is online, in person, dine in or take out.  I will also match a percentage of the total raised to donate to the selected organization.

Stay tuned to this page and to our social media accounts as I will be announcing the first recipients soon.

Warmest thanks and best wishes to all,

Mark Rosenberg Owner, Sharkie’s

Our first recipient of our Charitable Giving Campaign.

Woodstock Fire Dept.

We are raising money so they can replace nozzles on their fire apparatus equipment. Each Nozzle costs $1200 and ideally they need as many as 4 of them for a total cost of $4800. Our fundraising begins 4/3/24 and will run for 2 months.

Customers can contribute anyway they choose, with purchase from Sharkie’s. In person, online, takeout, dine-in and online shipping of our frozen food. At the end of the 2 month period, Sharkie’s will add a percentage of the total raised in hopes of getting the much needed funds for our devoted fire dept. We encourage everyone to participate as it can be as little as $1 per purchase.

Founded in 1906, your volunteer The Woodstock Fire Department provides 24-7-365 service covering a rugged 69 square mile area to residents and visitors alike.

In 2023, we responded to more than 1,300 emergencies – primarily to extinguish structure, shed, auto, brush and other kinds of fires – and to provide lifesaving medical treatment.

We also respond to smoke/CO alarm incidents, motor vehicle accidents, tree/power line down emergencies, ice/woodland rescue – and frequently come to the aid of residents experiencing all sorts of home-related emergencies.

Our department funding comes from state and local resources as well as generous support from the public.

Our mission is simple: ‘LIP’ – Save Lives, Stabilize Incidents, Preserve Property – all to protect our community’s health, safety and well-being.

Responding to that great need is a daily challenge and demands continual investment in equipment, gear and training.
